Every Friday we also offer a variety of extracurricular elective opportunities.
Is there be an enrollment cap? What are digital classroom ratios? Capacity for all schools is determined by enrollment. After the school year begins and staffing is determined, applications may be placed on a waitlist until the District is able to either staff the increase in enrollment or delay admittance until there is space available. Staffing decisions are being made with the goal that digital classrooms are slightly larger than their in-person comparisons
Are teachers subject-based, or will students always be with same teacher? Students in grades K-5 have the same teacher for core subjects, with different teachers for specials areas. Students in grades 6-8 receive instruction from content specialists.
How does Elevated Digital Learning Academy deliver Special Education services? There is a resource teacher on staff who will facilitate IEP meetings and provide services. Services will be provided as outlined in the student’s Individual Education Program (IEP). A student’s IEP team will meet to determine whether digital or in person services are necessary. Distance learning may not be appropriate for all students with disabilities.
Are textbooks, workbooks and other print materials available? At what cost? Yes, print materials are available to Elevated Digital Learning Academy students at no cost.
